Zero miles/hours: New old stock crate engine – these engines were destined to be a manufacturer spare and they never been in a vehicle or even run. VM D642 engines were originally produced only for the Mowag / Bucher-Guyer Duro military off road utility vehicle.

This 160PS diesel engine is ideal for a 4×4 vehicle conversion or van use. It produces an impressive 295 ft/lb of torque so is ideal for a tow vehicle application. Could be a very interesting and unique Land Rover Defender option if you can figure out how to fit it in there, good luck!
