Powertrain: 1HZ 4.2 – 6 cylinder turbo diesel intercooled and 5 speed manual gearbox.
Unused and as-new condition chassis, never registered anywhere, with original stamped VIN. Chassis of a research and development vehicle from a failed armoured vehicle project. Full VIN and additional history available on request.
Uprated Features
- Turbo intercooled engine. The 1HZ responds very well to turbo charging and gives a significant power increase over stock.
- Uprated high-end Ironman front suspension and Old Man Emu 11-leaf heavy duty rear springs.
- Huge military spec 6 piston disc brakes front and rear. This braking system alone would set you back several thousand pounds and is the best we’ve ever seen on a 70 series. Includes both transmission and wheel disk hand brakes.
- Run-flat oversized heavy duty military specification wheels and tyres in excellent condition. The tyres are a few years old now but the chassis has always been kept inside out of sunlight and they are in excellent condition, ‘hairs’ still present on tyres.
Unusual and rare vehicle in the UK still, although a few more are coming on to the market now.
This is an unbelievably clean chassis that would make a perfect base for a larger overlanding style vehicle build or other heavy project such as an armoured car. If a stock-looking standard cab and bed were installed, this would make a phenomonally capable machine.
No bodywork or interior at all included.
